Easthouse in Holborn was fabulous. The intimate no frills Japanese canteen has recently become something of a viral phenomenon, for its £20 all you can eat sushi deal.
Viral isn’t a term I think should be associated with restaurants as it’s also a term one associates with gastroenteritis but unlike getting the shits, Eat house was a highly recommended experience.
Much like a session with Mistress.

But back to the wonderful canteen menu.
Everything was fabulous and I didn’t even have room for the beautifully plated, simple katsu / teriyaki protein/rice mains that were on offer but from what I did order, the octopus balls definitely earned an honourable mention.
Octopus balls sound like something from a shopping list compiled by the witches in Macbeth ; eye of newt , toe of frog, scrotum of octopus . Perfect for casual dining in Shoreditch and cursing any unfortunate Thanes who happen to be passing. Thinking shout it, I’m sure sashimi of salmon would have made it into the witches cauldron too, if it has been a thing in Shakespeare’s London.
Back to the balls. There were four of them . I have no idea how many balls an octopus has. Maybe the same number as it has tentacles. Although this particular octopus might now have half as many.
