Osculum infame
The term is referred to in many texts written by 16th century witch hunters and referred to a witch’s supposed ritual greeting upon meeting with the Devil.
Oculum infame is Latin for kissing the devil’s anus, his “other” mouth.
According to folklore, it was this kiss that allowed the Devil to seduce his followers .
